Going Out in Ibiza Town

Ibiza Town is the largest city on the island, it is the capital city of Ibiza which has a population of 49,000 people. This place is the heart of the island which consists of endless bars, restaurants, night clubs and also has a big history to it. Due to so many attractions, places to eat, clubs and ports, it is no wonder that each year this location attracts all types of tourists from fine food and wine lovers, history enthusiasts, boat and yacht fans and of course the main one, party animals.

Most of the bars and restaurants are located in the Old Town, near Ibiza Port and Dalt Vila. Here you will find fancy cuisines from all over the world – Spanish, Italian, Japanese, French, you name it. If you’re a lover of fine dining and wine then surely the only problem you will have here is choosing which place to go to. If you don’t fancy sitting down to a restaurant, there are many bars serving one of the best cocktails and beers around. And if you get hungry after a few drinks then there are endless small tapas spots all around.

In Ibiza Town there are two ports, the main harbour also Marina Botafoc which is a short 10-minute walk from the city centre. From the main port you can take a ferry to Formentera and also inland Spain, Marina Botafoc is a bit smaller and dedicated to smaller boats and private yachts. Here you can charter a boat for the day along with a captain.

There is also a mid-size magnificent beach called Figueretas where you can enjoy a lazy lie on the sand or step into one of the many restaurants or bars, there are also plenty of hotels in this area which is a great plus if you’re staying in one of them. You may also choose to go on a walk along the beach which will take you to Playa d’en Bossa – the famous party destination and home to Ushuaia and Hi Ibiza. The walk is around 20 minutes and consists of walking half on the beach and the other on the side street.

Pacha

Pacha is one of the longest-standing clubs in Ibiza and is a true icon to the location. Open since 1973, this super club and fit 3000 people and attracts crowd from all over the world. Pacha has been designed with a beautiful interior and split across 3 rooms which enable people to experience something different in each one. The two most popular parties this season were Marco Carola’s Music On which has a long-standing history with Ibiza and Solomun’s Solomun +1, where each week Solomun invites one DJ to start of the night and Solomun finishes off the night. Also, The Masquerade, Pure Pacha Robin Schulz, Bedouin have all been a great success.

IMS Dalt Vila Venue

Building of Dalt Vila has begun in 1555 and took 30 years to complete. This spot is one the most iconic spots and a heritage site in Ibiza. The top provides magnificent views of Ibiza Town and the port. Each year this spot hosts the famous event International Music Summit which is a two-day party that brings the top DJ’s and crowd together. The party is normally held in May and marks the beginning of the season.
